Beginning at Zumsteins picnic ground, we take the signposted track upstream heading towards Mackenzie Falls. The slightly undulating well formed track follows the Mackenzie River. After 2.4km we reach the multi layered cascades that is Fish Falls. After taking in Fish Falls the track becomes slightly steeper as we enter the gorge of the Mackenzie Falls and after 1.3km we reach the base of Mackenzie Falls. Here, we can have lunch before retracing our steps back to Zumsteins.
