Walk Details

This challenging Grade 3 walk is probably the least challenging section of the Grampians Peaks Trail. Starting from the Coppermine Track, we will walk south along a ridgeline to the Gar trailhead on Roses Gap Rd. There are good views to both the east and west and we will pass by Barrigar Falls, which will have a decent amount of flow due to the recent rains. At about the halfway point, we will have lunch in the Barrigar hike-in campground shelter. About half of the trail is uneven and rocky and can be slippery in places if wet.

A car shuffle along rough roads will be required.

Please see the attached recent photos of the walk.
