Walk Details
Starting from the northern end of the Landsborough Hill Nature Conservation Reserve, we will ascend steeply for the first 40 minutes over 2 km, with a couple of breaks on the way up or when needed. There is a large expanse of Golden Wattle trees along the base of the hill which should be in full flower by then.
From the trig tower at the top, we follow the ridgeline for about 1.5 km before breaking for lunch and enjoying possible views of Kara Kara National Park to the northeast.
Shortly after lunch, we will start a steep descent on a 1 km section of washed out road track until it levels out for the final 3 km back to the Landsborough town centre. A car shuffle will be required at the end.
Please see the attached recent photos of the walk.
